Pierluigi Montalbano is a Full Professor of International Economic Policy at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy) and an Associate Faculty at the Department of Economics, University of Sussex (United Kingdom). He also serves as the Director of the MSc program on "Migration and Development" at Sapienza University of Rome and is the Scientific Coordinator of the Economics and Development Curriculum of the PhD School in Social Sciences and Economics, also at Sapienza University of Rome.
He is a member of the Consultative Committee for Impact Evaluation of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation. He has authored and co-authored numerous national and international articles and scientific publications and has been invited speaker at several national and international conferences and seminars. He also has extensive consultant experience, having served as a project leader and senior expert for various national and international institutions.
